Jerome Vahalik, Sr.

Jerome was born July 22, 1888 in St. John, Texas. He died February 27, 1968. He married Lena Kutac October 18, 1910. He and Lena had six (6) children: Emil, Edwin, Jerome, Benjamin, Georgia, and Jodie. He was interred near Adolph in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yoakum, Texas.

Lena Kutac (Spouse)

Lena was born July 13, 1887 in Sweet Home, Texas. She died February February 5, 1967. She is interred next to Jerome. Unlike Adolph, Lena's father, Joseph Kutac dictated a short narrative about his childhood, immigration and early life. Edmund Vaclav Vahalik

Edmund was born July 19, 1890 in St. John, Texas. He died November 23, 1974. He married Emilie Svec on October 25, 1911. He and Emilie had ten (10) children: Sabina, John Adolph, Edmund R., Stephen (who died in infancy), Alvin, Isabel, Irene, Daniel (who died in infancy), Rebeca, and Leona. He was interred in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Petersville, Texas.

Emilie Johana Svec (Spouse)

Emilie was born April 5, 1894 in Ellinger, Texas. She died May 1, 1975. She is interred next to Edmund.

Anna Vahalik

Anna was born July 4, 1892 in St. John, Texas. She died October 28, 1978. She married Juluis Karl Haas on May 23, 1923. She and Juluis had four (4) children: Juluis Karl Haas, Jr., Frances (Teresa) Elizabeth, Emma Margaret, Albert Joseph. She was buried in San Antonio, Texas.

Juluis Karl Haas (Spouse)

Juluis was born April 23, 1896 in Brighton, Texas. He died December 26, 1968. He is interred next to Anna.

Karolina Vahalik

Little is known about Karolina. She was born circa 1884. According to family oral history, she was sickly. When she was in her twenties she moved to New Mexico for treatment and a change in climate. No one the author has spoken with had any information about her after she left Texas. No death certificate has been located in New Mexico or otherwise for her. Nor is she listed on any further census rolls. Please contact the author if you have additional information. Karolina had no known issue.

Augustin Vahalik

Augustin (later August) Frank Vahalik was born April 11, 1904. He moved to Dallas and married Sarah Juanita [last name unknown]. He died December 4, 1961. At the time of his death he was employed as the manager at the Beckley Club Cafe. His death certificate lists both parents' name as unknown, his wife was the informant. He was interred in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. August had no known issue.
